23.-26.8.2007 Pharaoh fest open in Rudna pod Pradedem, CZ

We came to Rudna on Thursday yet to coursing training. Cassie raced one solo and one race with C´Sachmet Farafra.

On Friday we had a trip with some friends and the dogs to Praded (the highest mountain of Jeseniky) We drove up to Ovcarna and then walked. From Praded we went for around 15km far trip which we finnished again at Ovcarna (hotel and ski area) where we took a rest and ate something. In the evening we had Club´s meeting.

On Saturday 25.8. was held Specialty show of CZ Pharaoh hound club judged by Mr. Harry Vella from Malta - the country of origin of Pharaoh hounds. Other breeds were judged by Mrs. Ludmila Pavlikova from Czech. Participation was great - 45 pharaohs, 4 Podenco Ibicenco, 2 Cirneco De´ll Etna and 8 Podenco Portugues small. We did great as Cassie revised her last year triumph when she got Ex.1,CAC, Specialty winner (BB) and BOB!! Then she got out of Mrs. Ludmila Pavlikova also BIS!! We got nice cups and presents with pharaoh motive. We were very surprised when we got out of judge certified copy of painting of malteese artist - where are three pharaohs!

On Sunday was club´s coursing. Entered were 17 pharaohs. Cassie ran two times with male Cathoula from Philaia. My surprise was great when she got 177 point and was 2nd in bitches cathegory!!
